a series of milestones in the 🧀 state 🎉 cel a series of milestones in the 🧀 state 🎉 celebrated @griffin_shields’ 30th 🎉 beat Tyler in whiffleball (first time hearing of this sport & playing it) #MidwestThings 🎉 drank martinis with different liquors 🎉 tried a grasshopper drink (known to be better on a sunday afternoon at @bridgettejaeger’s grandma’s house) 🎉 ate the BEST burger ever at @merrimentsocial 🎉 visited Milwaukee’s Oldest Cocktail Lounge @bryantslounge 🎉 ate the yummiest chicken tenders at @whos_on_third 🎉 met Fletcher & Jasper 🐶🤍

Mostly celebrated Frank Pellico’s retirement game as the organist for 33 years with the #BlackHawks. Positives: 🌟 @spothero parking at the stadium was more affordable than buying parking when you arrived for their parking. We got $28 pre parking vs at the lots were starting at $30. Could’ve also been because it was a Sunday vs a weekday. Keep that in mind when you go! 🌟 Make sure to scan the ‘designated driver’ qr code for complimentary water… usually $6. 🌟 The bathroom lines for the boys were WAY longer than the girls during intermissions. 🌟 We sat in the 300 sections, in the few rows closer to the top. There’s a secret bathroom for both genders that no one really knew about. I don’t know about cleaner though because there was liquid on the floors but it was solo bathrooms! Some things we wish could’ve been better at the game: 💩 There was an offsides call the Maple Leafs scored and the refs took their side. 💩 We learned more about the fans behind us than the game because they talked too much. We didn’t really know what to expect, but it was so cutie. Some need-to-knows if you plan on attending: 🔆 12th annual in 2024 🔆 1-mile electric illumination path (also ADA compliant) 🔆 Only open mid-November to first week of January 🔆 Explore 50 acres of the ‘majestic tree collections while immersed in a spectacle of color, light, & sound’ They also have a super cute shop!!! I’m a sucker for #HomeDecor 🫣 #BrokeSzn See ya next year!?

my fave part about living in a 4-season state: the my fave part about living in a 4-season state: the holidays 🎄🎅🏼🎁🫶🏽🤍 I will say though, it was one of the hardest holidays for me since moving to #Illinois. I’ve never missed a Christmas with my fam… even when I traveled everywhere, I would always make it a point to be back home. Now, as new homeowners, Tyler & I have made our place feel cozy, exciting to be in, & truly an adventure everyday with our two doggos. There’s lots to be thankful for, that’s for sure! My parents, my brother & his girlfriend came to visit for my birthday. It was a whole SURPRISE that my brother came and EVERYONE knew but me!!!!
