Spending All My Money in Las Vegas With Friends
You know when people say “What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas?” Although our time here didn’t encompass all of that because we did come more towards the beginning of the week rather than the end of the week, it was still an amazing addition to our road trip!
It’s bittersweet to think this is the last state of our road trip!!! If you’re interested in the other states, they’ll have their own posts in this tab.
Are you more of a foodie?
Fat Tuesday
I was SO excited to get a Fat Tuesday cup. I actually still have it!! Depending on the size cup you get, you can refill it how many ever times you want AND you get to walk and drink in Vegas. I think that definitely made the party better!
Margaritaville
Coming to Margaritaville is nostalgic because there’s one back home in Orlando area, so it was more of comforting food for us. We were extremely hungry and happy we were amongst familiar restaurants. We did a bunch of shareables to try more foodies too!
Trevi Fountain
So we made a reservation on Open Table to be able to have by the time we visited and it did not disappoint. Everyone got pasta because it is an Italian restaurant, and it was AMAZING. I freaking love their gnocchi. It’s definitely my sweet spot!
Hell’s Kitchen
Our reservations were made long before we planned anything else because this was a MUST DO. They also asked us to put our card down to make sure that our spot was secured. This is Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen!!!!
We tried all kinds of foods and splurged a little. They had an option of either a set three-course meal or choosing your own as you went. We also celebrated graduation, so they gave us a little cake on them!
Side note: I actually eat smaller portions, so my sizes were from the appetizer area rather than the entrees. The lobster bisque and the mac n cheese are from their appetizers!
Mon Ami Gabi
I had actually been wanting to go to the one in Illinois, but figured this could be a cute spot to go to in Vegas. It’s brunch time everywhere here and we hit the jackpot! It actually felt like we were in Paris, France because of their décor and Eiffel Tower. It’s pretty amazing how they made everything life sized. AND Ashley played in the slot machine and won some big bucks. *cough* Only $20, *cough* But enough for a drink in Vegas!!
Nacho Daddy
This taco joint was everything we needed before our flights. They served so much food and we had ordered an extra large margarita punch. I think just for the fun of it honestly, AND because I really wanted to fill up my Fat Tuesday cup one last time. HAH! The food did not disappoint at all. I really wanted to nap afterwards.
Our adventures didn’t end by the the Strip, we had other experiences too.
Seven Magic Mountains
This is one of those places that is just a must do while at Vegas, It’s funny how you can see all kinds of people and their poses behind you too. The Seven Magic Mountains is a true gem and only 30 minutes from the Strip!
Adrenaline ATV
Hitting up the ATV’s was Ashley’s need of the trip and it was FUN! We got tan lines, sand all over us from Death Valley, and need a whole shower. Our group was so fun because we were able to go faster but still keep the pace for the people in front. An experience I’ll never forget!
Las Vegas Sign
Usually, I would go towards Elvis, but this guy was just hitting on everyone in the line. It was cute to see an actual Elvis though and you could actually see the line we had to make just for a photo at the Las Vegas sign! it was worth the pit stop though!!!!
TIP: They have a parking lot right before making the line to the lot, in case you wanted to come with your car like we did.
This trip was freaking amazing. We had so much fun traveling through a whole eight states and experiencing a bit of what each city had to offer- their weather, their food, the culture, how each one worked with all things covid, and just the way that people interacted. While travel was a little frowned upon because of covid times, we took advantage of road tripping and really being careful with our hand sani’s.
It was an unforgettable trip and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
Until next time…
